Does this confuse you at all? Animal lover, but loves my meat?

I love my meat, and nothing on this Earth will keep me away from it. I do however, love animals with a pion, especially snakes ; ) Growing up, I wanted to be a zoologist then later into branch off into herpetology (the study of amphibians and reptiles, ie: Frogs, toads, snakes, lizards, turtles, crocodiles, monitors, etc,). However, joined the Army instead for financial problems. I still love animals to this day. I have a 4 foot long absolutely gorgeous black and white kingsnake, and do feed live mice for him, and have a black cat. Later on, will get a dog, parrot, frogs, and perhaps another snake in the future . Do you see this as wrong, or me as an oxymoron, why or why not? Thanks for any opinions! =)
