Freaking a...guys agian..?

okay so like a week ago my ex(who was my firs bf) messaged me and we've jsut been texting back and forth since and we talked about why we broke up and he admitted he was a jerk (which he was!!) and he started texing me saying things like hi beautiful...whats up lovely? its just weird...now i'll admit hes cute but i just dont like him.. anywhay the other day he said him and his faimly (who my familys friends) were stopping by so we were expecting them tonight and it was like midnight and i texted him saying soo i guess your not coming and he was all haha no im home =] and then i got online and he replied to a message basically say that i text him everyday..now idk if he was complaing or not but what should i do?
