Should I tell him how I feel?

Definitely tell him. By the sounds of thing he most likely feels the same about you. But if he doesn't you have a 2 year friendship to back you up. It might be awkward at first if the feelings aren't mutual, but eventually you telling him how you feel will just be a thing of the past.
