I'm looking to buy a decent mountain bike under $400; Diamondback Topanga FS or Schwinn ditch 3.0?

They have both of them at costco right now. they both have very similar features such as disc brakes and full suspension. I am not a mountain biker i just want a decent bike that will be able to handle a few bumps whenever I take the "road less travelled by." The Schwinn sells for $299 and the diamondback for $349. I like dual suspension and disc brakes. Keep in mind I don't want to buy a cheap Wal*Mart bike that will break in a week, and I also don't want to spend a fortune.
