Why isn't the government doing anything whatsoever to clean up our cities and fight crime?

Most large cities are run by democrats. They want people to feel weak, threatened, and powerless so they will always be dependent upon the government to save them. But if they were to ever deliver those people the salvation they promise they wouldn't be needed anymore. So they keep a perpetual state of crisis. Republicans tell people to stand up, defend yourself, provide for yourself and have pride in yourself. Don't wait around for the cavalry to come, take responsibility for your own life. But the democrats put out their propaganda: republicans are racist rich white guys that don't care. You are too weak to ever get out of poverty and they won't help you. We will help you you are a helpless victim, you are not responsible for your own actions. Just sit back and wait for help to come and keep voting democrat. They actually encourage crime and gang membership by telling people that society has forced them to be criminals and they are incapable of being anything else. It is a truly sad and pathetic thing that people have accepted this lifestyle and do not even try for anything else. But the elite democrats use that sense of perpetual victimization to keep a stranglehold on power in the inner cities.
