Moms, why do Dads ume it is our sole responsibility to watch the kids?

Yesterday, my husband was down stairs watching football and i was cooking dinner and wanted to finish the Christmas wrapping so i asked my husband if our son can come play downstairs while i do this (he had been down there for hours already) and he had the audacity to ask me "why do i have to watch him cant you?) i was like excuse me but i have been watching him all day and i want to finish the wrapping and cant do that in front of him..it just really irritated me that he felt that only i am responsible for watching our son when we are both there. Not that i usually mind, but geez i only wanted a half hour to wrap presents...he'd been sitting on his not even doing anything. Any other dads out there behave like this?
